Breaking News: Alpine win 1000 Miles of Sebring
Nicolas Lapierre, Matthieu Vaxiviere and Andre Negrao win first race of 2022 WEC season
The 1000 Miles of Sebring was curtailed in final hour of the race due to approaching storm ensuring that Alpine take its first ever Hypercar victory.
Porsche start season with victory, while United Autosports USA claim LMP2 category.

Hypercar
- Alpine ELF Team of Nicolas Lapierre, Matthieu Vaxiviere and Andre Negrao win first race of 2022 WEC season

LMP2
- No.23 United Autosports USA machine of Paul di Resta, Oliver Jarvis and Joshua Pierson take LMP2 victory after leading much of the race
- WRT take second after late charge by Robin Frijns and Rene Rast’s late charge is halted by the weather
- Jarvis forced to defend though as charging Rene Rast in WRT entry closes during the
- Third position taken by the Real Team WRT trio of Ferdinand Habsburg, Norman Nato and Rui Andrade

- Northwest AMR celebrate success in LMGTE Am as David Pittard, Nicki Thiim and Paul Dalla Lana head Aston Martin 1-2
- TF Sport finish in second position as Ben Keating, Marco Sorensen and Florian Latorre start season strongly
- Team Project 1 take final podium position as Ben Barnicoat, Oli Millroy and Brendon Iribe start first WEC season on a high
