Change of start time and location for Drivers Parade
A tradition that is particularly appreciated by the public at the 24 Hours of Le Mans is the Grand Parade of Drivers, where all the drivers who will start the race, tour the streets of Le Mans on Friday evening. This year the start has been moved to the Place de la Republique, (in common with the scrutineering for the third round of the FIA World Endurance Championship), and the time put forward by half an hour.
The parade of drivers in vintage cars through the streets of the city centre of Le Mans was a great hit with fans who share a great multinational event: Danish, British and Germans mingle with the local French population for a big party. It is a great opportunity to see an impressive number of Super-cars, from Ferrari and Lamborghini, to Corvette, Porsche or Bugatti. Musicians and dancers also participate in the lively parade.
See you on Friday, 15th June 2012 from 17:30 to 19:30 in the Place de la Republique!
