Enzo Potolicchio's first time at Le Mans

The Starworks Motorsport team surprised everyone at the 12 Hours of Sebring, opening round of the FIA World Endurance Championship by taking third place overall, despite the fact that the American team who compete in the LMP2 class should in theory have had no chance of an overall podium finish. Enzo (Vicente) Potolicchio, driver of the HPD ARX-03b Honda #44 of Starworks Motorsport and investor in the team, is excited to discover the 24 Hours of Le Mans for the first time.

"For us Le Mans is the icing on the cake for the FIA WEC schedule.  I've always wanted to race at Le Mans and the World Endurance Championship was the best way to do it.  The WEC had all the tracks I wanted to go to like Spa, Sao Paolo, Sebring; it is a great calendar that makes every other series in the world unappealing to us."

"It is my first time at Le Mans and it is just amazing.  The atmosphere is just incredible, the amount of people who are bringing photos of me from the Ferrari Challenge and other series, they even have pictures of every time we painted the car a different colour.  They follow us around for photos and signatures, it's great.  The European fan is very different from the American fan for road racing and I need to get used to this."

"After the win and overall podium at Sebring we were disappointed at Spa because we were really quick, it was my inexperience in letting the Audis by.  I was too nice and I ended up in the gravel but, hey, it's a learning curve, we need to be fast but we also need experience to stay on the track."

"Stephane (Sarrazin) asked me for a favour after he got a call from Toyota.  As a driver he said it was an opportunity for his career.  I said he had a contract with me but I said go ahead, I felt I had to do that. Tom (Kimber-Smith) is a good friend, he is really fast and won here last year, so I know we have a good teammate for this race and we hope to get Stephane back in the car for the rest of the season and I wish him the best at Toyota because he was amazing with us."
