F2 driver Luca Ghiotto joins Team LNT for Fuji
Team LNT Ginetta have confirmed that Formula 2 driver Luca Ghiotto will join the squad for the upcoming FIA WEC 6 Hours of Fuji (4-6 October).
Italy’s Ghiotto has previously competed in GP3, GP2 and most recently in F2 where he is currently third in the standings. He also attended the WEC Prologue at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya in July where the 24-year-old set the fastest lap time in the car.
Ghiotto will join Ben Hanley and Egor Orudzhev in the No. 5 Ginetta G60-LT-P1 AER as the trio try to better the fourth-place finish that the car achieved at Silverstone.
Meanwhile, Ginetta factory driver Charlie Robertson moves over to the sister No. 6 car joining fellow factory man Mike Simpson and 2003 24 Hours of Le Mans winner, Guy Smith.
Robertson substitutes for Chris Dyson who was forced to miss the WEC season-opener due to injury and had always planned to miss Fuji as it clashes with the Trans-Am Championship in the USA where Dyson is in title-winning contention.
