Glickenhaus Racing confirms drivers for 2021 WEC campaign
Glickenhaus Racing has announced its driver line-up for the 2021 FIA World Endurance Championship.
The American-flagged Hypercar team confirmed last week that America’s Gustavo Menezes will drive the Glickenhaus 007 LMH, with Australian Ryan Briscoe set to race in the sister No. 709 Hypercar. However, today the team has also revealed its other team drivers as being Pipo Derani (Brazil), Romain Dumas (France), Franck Mailleux (France), Olivier Pla (France) and Richard Westbrook (UK). It has not yet been confirmed which driver will compete in which car.
Glickenhaus Racing will enter two Glickenhaus 007 LMH cars in the WEC’s brand-new Hypercar category for 2021. The cars will be powered by a 3.5-litre twin-turbo V8 engines with the roll out and first test of the 007 in Vallelunga, Italy, scheduled for March.
Earlier this month it was also announced that Glickenhaus Racing would enroll the support of multiple 24 Hours of Le Mans winners, Joest Racing – the team working with Italy’s Podium Advanced Technologies on the new Hypercar machinery.
