Hour 3: Toyota and Audi Neck and Neck at Silverstone

The third hour ended with the nr7 Toyota and the nr1 Audi hybrids fighting for the lead of the race, with Nakajima bringing the Toyota into the pits for the fourth scheduled stop of the race at the top of the hour.

The Rebellion Racing Lola-Toyota’s of Nicolas Prost and Harold Primat held a 1-2 in the LMP1 Privateer battle, well ahead of the JRM HPD-Honda of Karun Chandhok.

Nothing really changed in LMP2 with the nr24 Oak Racing Morgan-Nissan of Olivier Pla holding the class lead in 7th overall, 17 seconds ahead of the nr25 ADR-Delta Oreca-Nissan of Tor Graves.

In LMGTE Pro there was a change of leader when the nr77 Felbermayr-Proton Porsche suffered a rear suspension problem and had to crawl back to the pits for repairs, leaving the nr97 Aston Martin Racing Vantage of Stefan Mucke taking the class lead ahead of Gianmaria Bruni in the nr51 AF Corse Ferrari.

While it was bad news for Team Felbermayr in the Pro class, it was all smiles in GTE Am as the nr88 Felbermayr-Proton Porsche of Paolo Ruberti took the lead ahead of the nr99 Aston Martin Racing Vantage of Paul White.
