Kenji Kobayashi joins JWA-Avila

A fifth Japanese driver will be participating in the 6 Hours of Fuji, it has just been announced, and this time in the LMGTE Am category.   Joining Joel Camathias and Paul Daniels in the No.55 JWA-Avila Porsche 911 RSR will be long-time Porsche pilot, Kenji Kobayashi.

The 40-year-old gentleman driver, who competes in the Super GT championship (GT300) for Hitotsuyama Racing, has raced in the Porsche Carrera Cup Japan for many years so the car and track will both be very familiar to him.  He also brings to the team valuable endurance experience from the 24H Nurburgring, in which he carried off a class win in 2011.
