ORECA expand their activities as constructor.

Oreca has recently expanded its manufacturing activity. The company, founded and led by Hugues de Chaunac began manufacturing in 2009 with the Formula Le Mans prototype, aimed at new teams seeking to participate in endurance racing at the highest level. They then launched an LMP2 car two years later. For 2013, the company based in Signes, near the Paul Ricard circuit at Le Castellet, has developed a new prototype for sports prototype championships, both national and international, and hillclimb.

ORECA wished to set themselves apart as Hugues de Chaunac confirms : “Our design study department worked on this project, relying on CFD tools (digital wind tunnel testing) and structural calculations at our disposal. Innovation is part of our DNA and it was logical for us to go in this direction. Our goal is to offer a package that is competitive and attractive, while respecting the spirit of the particular discipline. In addition, we are particularly attentive to the needs of our customer teams, which is why a customer support program will be put in place to accompany them in their adventure."

This year, Oreca participates in the FIA World Endurance Championship through three private teams entered in the LMP2 class with the Oreca 03 chassis; ADR-Delta and Pecom Racing who lie in second and third places overall LMP2 after three rounds, and Signatech-Nissan who follow at a short distance, after winning the ILMC, the precursor of the World Championship last year in the LMP2 class.
