Porsche reveals special Le Mans gold livery design
The Porsche GT Team will line up on the grid at next month’s 24 Hours of Le Mans with special gold liveries in honour of winning the World Endurance GTE Manufacturers’ Championship title.
The points accrued after the previous round at Spa-Francorchamps saw Porsche out of sight of their LMGTE Pro rivals with a 93-point advantage over nearest competitors, Ferrari.
In recognition of this achievement, the red surfaces of the No. 91 and No. 92 cars will be finished in gold for the WEC Super Finale on 15/16th June, with the roof of both cars emblazoned with the World Champion logo. The pits of the Porsche GT Team will also reflect these colours.
Fritz Enzinger, Porsche’s Vice President of Motorsport, commented: “The gold paintwork on the two 911 RSR racers from the WEC symbolises the early win of the world title for manufacturers, which is something we’re very proud of… In 2018, our cars sported a special design and yielded us a brilliant double victory at Le Mans. We hope to achieve a similar result this year.”
