Lietz: Porsche happy with Prologue performance

Richard Lietz says Porsche is pleased with the work it has completed at The Prologue, although the German marque is not reading too much into setting the first and second fastest times in LMGTE-Pro.
The top four cars in class were separated by less than two tenths of a second after two days of running at Monza, with Michael Christensen in the No.92 Porsche 911 setting a lap of 1m47.379s, one tenth ahead of team-mate Fred Makowiecki in the No. 91 car.
2015 GTE Pro champion Lietz, who shared driving duties with Makowiecki, said the new mid-rear engined Porsche had completed its scheduled programme as planned and noted the car’s improvement over the course of the test. The Austrian is not getting carried away ahead of the first round of the FIA World Endurance Championship at Silverstone on April 16.
"We tested a lot with a test car, but these are our race cars. They were quite brand new apart from a rollout, so it was very important for us to drive them on the limit and Monza therefore was a very good preparation,” he said.
“We found some small issues, we solved them and the car feels normal now. Both Fred and I are happy with our car, also Kevin (Estre) and Michael are happy with their car, so now we feel ready for Silverstone.”
