My Sebring...Gianmaria Bruni
Ahead of the WEC’s first visit back to America’s historic Sebring Raceway since 2012, we asked a number of drivers in our paddock about what it takes to get a good lap at Sebring, and what’s so special about the track.

“I’m very happy we’re going back, even with a different format of event. To go fast at Sebring is not easy. You have to respect the bumps – as everyone says – but it’s a really hard track to go very, very fast at. You have to really be at one with the car, be totally balanced and trust the car because it’s the only way to go faster on the bumps when your car is sliding everywhere.
“I hope we can have a good race like in the past when the WEC was there in 2012. I’m looking forward to it for sure.
“The atmosphere is good and I think racing in America in March is great when perhaps in Europe it’s bad weather; you’re happy to leave and go to the heat! It’s a very historic circuit and all the crazy racing fans who show up there before, during and even after the race make it special.”
WEC practice begins on Wednesday March 13, including a night practice, with qualifying taking place on Thursday March 14 from 9:30 pm and the green flag dropping for the 1000 Miles of Sebring at 4:00 pm on Friday March 15.
