Starworks: Ryan Dalziel returns
The No.44 Starworks Motorsports HPD ARX 03b, leaders in the classification for the LMP2 FIA Endurance Trophy, will be back to their regular line up of Enzo Potolicchio, Stéphane Sarrazin and Ryan Dalziel for the 6 Hours of Fuji. Florida-based Scottish driver, Dalziel, returns to the FIA World Endurance Championship after missing the last round due to a clashing race in the USA. The team had the perfect substitute for him in Bahrain in the shape of Tom Kimber-Smith, but Ryan is looking forward to being back.
Ryan Dalziel (pronounced Dee-ell), No.44 Starworks HPD ARX 03b: “Our hope is to tie up the championship here because that would take some of the pressure off us in China. The Nissan-powered cars have been coming up pretty strong so we would love nothing better than giving Honda the championship here in Japan.
"I was sad to miss the last round at Bahrain, but I was very happy to make sure of second place in the Grand-Am series – my highest finish in Grand-Am and I wanted to protect that. So there were mixed feelings because the WEC has been an excellent series for us. Although I would have been delighted for Starworks, I am glad they didn’t wrap up the title in Bahrain because I want to be part of that party and to be part of this amazing venue at Fuji. We have had an amazing season and we want to win the last two races and lift that championship.”
