Team WRT wins ACO Sustainable Endurance Award presented by DHL
The ACO, the FIA WEC and DHL are recognising sustainable efforts and initiatives with the newly created ACO Sustainability Endurance Award.
Two aspects were considered in the selection of the winner: "Low Carbon Impact", which looks at the reduction of CO2 emissions related to the transport of materials and people, and logistics from the garages to the race tracks.
Secondly, "Positive Innovation", which recognises the contribution, participation, and development of innovative social or environmental initiatives that create a positive impact and added value for their local communities.
The winner of the competition was announced this morning as Belgian LMP2 team, WRT.
DHL has been the Official Logistics Partner of the FIA WEC since 2012.
