Test Day : Full programme for Signatech-Nissan
Signatech-Nissan entered two cars for the first time at the 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps, the second round of the FIA World Endurance Championship. The French team did the same during the test day of the 24 Hours of Le Mans with two Oreca 03-Nissan: Nelson Panciatici and Jordan Tresson needed to do the mandatory 10 laps each for drivers new to La Sarthe, while the other two drivers worked on tyre wear and fuel consumption.
A tyre problem for the #26 car and a leaking radiator for car #23, (a lucky number of Nissan), but not enough to jeopardize the testing programme for the day and the team are confident, as indicated Philippe Sinault, team Principal: "We are pleased with this test day. We had a lot of work and we have fulfilled our roadmap. The testing programme was very specific in order to prepare the 24 Hours of Le Mans and especially to be there at the end of the race. The balance of the car looks good, we had no major problems and our drivers are very good. We have much work in the next few runs, this is why the team is on-site all week. The fight this year at Le Mans in LMP2 will be a big challenge and we must be ready! 20 cars are entered in this classl. We'll have to redouble our efforts and strategy to win the 80th edition this year. "
