Unique challenge of Spa-Francorchamps awaits teams and fans alike
The FIA World Endurance Championship paddock woke up to a dramatic Ardennes landscape this morning as light snow flurries painted a beautiful, if somewhat unseasonal, backdrop to race day.
Emphasising the word ‘endurance’, the teams and drivers are starting to plan out their strategies for the race this afternoon.
The fans meanwhile are arriving at the track, many bedecked with Belgian flags to support their hero Stoffel Vandoorne who will take part in his maiden WEC race today.
The popular pit-walk takes place at 10.00 just before the autograph session at 10.30 when the fans will be able to meet and chat to their heroes before they get ready for the race start at 13.30 local time.
Just prior to that the grid ceremony will see many attractions including the rousing TOTAL Drummers!
With the challenge of rain showers this afternoon guaranteed there will not be a minute of the world class multi-class sportscar action that you will want to miss at the TOTAL 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps today.
