BREAKING NEWS – AF CORSE FERRARI WINS LONE STAR LE MANS BY 1.78s!; HEART OF RACING ASTON MARTIN TAKE LMGT3 VICTORY

HYPERCAR: WINNER – NO.83 AF CORSE FERRARI

• Robert Kubica, Yifei Ye and Robert Shwartman take a first victory of the season for the No.83 AF Corse Ferrari team after a dramatic final hour at COTA saw a thrilling close finish
• Victory looked as if it was on its way to Kamui Kobayashi, Mike Conway and Nyck de Vries take victory in the No.7 Toyota Gazoo Racing
• The Toyota trio, who were set to claim their second win of the season after getting the lead in the fifth hour, saw their hopes dashed when Kobayashi was given a drive-through penalty for not slowing sufficiently for a waved yellow flag to recover the stranded No.94 Peugeot 9X8
• Completing the podium and making it a Ferrari 1-3 in Texas was the No.50 Ferrari AF Corse 499P of Miguel Molina, Antonio Fuoco and Nicklas Nielsen

• The top six was completed by the Cadillac Racing V-Series.R in fourth, the championship points leading, the No.35 Alpine of Charles Milesi, Ferdinand Habsburg and Paul-Loup Chatin and the No.6 Porsche Penske of Andre Lotterer, Kevin Estre and Laurens Vanthoor 

• No.8 Toyota is penalised for avoidable contact after controversial incident between Sebastien Buemi and Kevin Estre in No.6 Porsche in penultimate hour

LM GT3: WINNER – No.27 HEART OF RACING ASTON MARTIN

• No.27 Heart of Racing Aston Martin Vantage takes its first ever WEC victory after a dominant display from Ian James, Daniel Mancinelli and Alex Riberas
• They convert pole position and lead the vast majority of the race to head home the No.92 Manthey PureRxcing Porsche 911 RSR LMGT3 car of Aliaksandr Malykhin, Joel Sturm and Kluas Bachler
• The No.92 crew extend their title points lead over sister No.91 Manthey EMA entry which finishes in third position
