Hybrid 'braking zones' for 6 Hours of Bahrain
With the FIA World Endurance Championship battle between Audi and Toyota becoming increasingly spirited at every round, the use of their hybrid-power systems is brought more and more into the spotlight.
As has been the case since the beginning of the season, specified ‘braking zones’ are determined for each circuit visited by the FIA WEC, at which the energy recuperation hybrid technology can be employed.
For the 15-turn, 5.4km Sakhir circuit which will host the sixth round of the championship, the 6 Hours of Bahrain, the seven pre-determined braking zones will be at Turns 1, 4, 8, 10, 11, 13 and 14. The entry of each zone will be considered at the 50m board before the curve.
