Where to watch the 6 Hours of Monza
Round 3 of the WEC will get underway later this week (16-18 July) at the Autodromo Nazione di Monza in Italy for the first-ever 6 Hours of Monza which will be televised by several major broadcasters including Eurosport, Fox Sports and La Chaine L'Equipe.
For the first time since February 2020, the WEC will welcome a limited number of fans onsite at Monza but for those that are unable to come onsite – there are still ample opportunities for fans to watch the action live. In Italy, the home of Ferrari – where there are a total of ten Ferrari 488 GTE Evos competing at Monza – Italian fans will be able to watch the entire race live on Eurosport 2 (and online via Eurosport Player).
The FIA WEC app will also broadcast action from qualifying and the full six hour race plus exclusive behind-the-scenes footage and interviews. Sunday’s 6 hour race will commence at midday local time. As part of a new three-year deal in France, free-to-air TV channel L’Equipe will show the entire race live (as well as on L’Equipe.FR).
Meanwhile, Eurosport will televise the full race live across Europe on Eurosport 2, including in UK and in Germany.
Also in Germany, the race will be shown live from 13h00 – 14h00 on Sport1 and again from 17h30 – 19h00. Sport1+ will also broadcast live from 11h30 - 16h00 with the full race shown on delay later that day. In Belgium, RTBF will show the full race live on RTBF Auvio, its digital platform.
MotorTrend – a linear network dedicated to auto enthusiasts – will broadcast the first and last 90 minutes of the race live in the USA and the Caribbean, as well as post-race on MotorTrend network.
Residents in South America can watch the majority of the race live via Fox Sports 3. Eurosport will also broadcast five hours of the race live pan Asia-Pacific and in Australia. Meanwhile, Super Sport will air the full race live as part of a pan-regional deal in Africa.
Finally, J Sports will broadcast the full race on a slight delay to Japanese fans who can tune in to see home drivers Kamui Kobayashi and Kazuki Nakajima in Toyota Gazoo Racing’s brand-new Hypercar. In New Zealand, fans can watch home driver Brendon Hartley live via Sky.
Don’t forget to download the FIA WEC app which is available worldwide (apart from USA and Canada where it is geoblocked). The app has English commentary on its live transmissions and official WEC highlights shows, with Allan McNish giving his expert insights. McNish will be joined by experienced commentary duo Martin Haven and Graham Goodwin while Louise Beckett and Duncan Vincent will support the team from the pitlane.
For the rest of the world, there will be various TV channels and online platforms that will broadcast qualifying, the race and/or highlights.
