An introduction to São Paulo

When one talks about Brazil, Rio de Janeiro is the first name which comes to mind.  This is despite the administrative capital of South America’s largest country being Brasilia, and SãoPaulo, the eternal rival to the Carnival City, being the economic heart of the Portuguese-speaking countrySãoPaulo, host of the annual Formula One Grand Prix at the Autodromo Jose Carlos Pace, better known as Interlagos, is a city which is all about outrageous excess.

Founded on January 25, 1554 on the banks of the River Tietê, the city honors Saint Paul.
